Delivery Driver job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Load and unload merchandise; un-box and set up, display, clean, touchup, repair, refurbish, test, check and service merchandise as needed. Prepare merchandise for delivery; deliver, install and demonstrate rental merchandise in customer’s homes. Perform minor service calls. Handles merchandise in accordance with company procedures; using hand trucks and dollies as appropriate; Load vehicles in safe manner using tie down straps and blankets. Clean, check and test all merchandise upon return from customer/before delivery to customer. Follow safe work practices as directed by the company. Distribute company- rentals equipment as directed. Operate vehicle safely, lawfully, and consistent with company policy. Observe all traffic laws; wear seat belts. Maintain security of vehicle and vehicle contents. Inspect and maintain vehicle condition by completing vehicle checklist daily, comply with company preventive maintenance schedule, and keep interior and exterior clean. Secure and maintain all tools issued by the company. Use all tools in the manner in which they are intended to be used. Cleans and maintains showrooms, office area, store exterior, dumpster area, restrooms and stock room as directed.
